At the time, in 1980, it was the largest refurbishment project in Europe. Wellington Barracks consists of a number of military office buildings and wings. All buildings are Grade II Listed and were almost entirely rebuilt behind the retained external facades.

Project Overview
The project was split into 2 phases over 3 years. The carpentry work included repairing ceiling joists, floor joists and floor boards. Existing door frames and doors were eased and adjusted for new ironmongery. A number of external windows were replaced with new. At one point we had 150 carpenters on site.
